In the Fourth and final book in the "All The Wrong Questions" series by Lemony Snicket, the story of Stain'd by the Sea, Hangfire, and Lemony come to a close.
Lemony follows Theodora in the middle of the night to a train station, where she boards the train along with a surprisingly large chunk of the town's remaining population. Using a variety of techniques he learned while training at the V.F.D (Volunteer Fire Department(The organisation that Lemony and Theodora are part of)), Lemony manages to board the train by jumping through a window. On the train, while being taken to court in the city, Dashiel Qwerty is murdered and Theodora is blamed. After a failed stakeout, a fake death, and smuggling of the Bombinating Beast statue, Lemony causes the statue to make a strange, indescribable noise that summons the actual Bombinating Beast. It Knocks the train off the tracks and kills Hangfire, before retreating back into the empty, lawless lands that border Stain'd by the Sea.
The ending of this book reminds me of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Since both have a supernatural being at the end that is to some extent influenced by the main villain. Both of these beings feel incredibly shoehorned into the final product, and overall make the piece of media a flop (at least in my opinion) and they don't live up to previous related media (for WiTNDFATO, it's the first three books in the series, and for BVS, it is the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy).
I would definitely recommend all the books in the "All The Wrong Questions" series except this one. The tone and plot progression seem a bit off for the series, and the end is terrible (at least in my oppinion).
