This book is about a girl in high school who is on stage crew and going through some technical difficulties. This book is about Callie's ( the mane characters ) adventure through high school and all the drama she gets rapped up in such as stage crew, friendships and crushes. Will she survive her journey through the dreaded land of high school? You may never know unless... you read this book which I would highly recommend. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes interesting characters or plot twist, you may also like this play if you have been in any kind of production or play even if you were not apart of stage crew. In conclusion this is an amazing book/ graphic novel that you should definitely read or at least check out. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Legend By Marie Lu

            This review contain some spoilers! In the book, Legend by Marie Lu there is a Republic soldier named June who is the only person who has gotten the best score on the trails, the test everyone has to take to determine their future. When someone takes these trails in the Republic they can either pass and join the military or fail and go to a labor camp where they are never seen again. Since June had passed her trial she joined the military with her brother, Metias who had also passed the trial. There is also a boy named Day who failed his trials and has committed various crimes against the Republic making himself the Republic's most wanted criminal. Even though Day is a wanted criminal he has done the wrong things for the right reasons like on one night where Day needs medication for his sick brother so he sneaks into a hospital and tries to steal medication for his brother and threatens the nurses. Once he realizes he cannot get hold of the medication he makes a run out of the hospital and throws a knife at Metias who was at the hospital and escapes through the tunnels under the hospital. When June hears this news and about Metias' death she is furious and is sent on a mission to find and capture Day. When June goes on this mission she finds day without knowing it and turns him in to the Republic. Then while Day is in a cell waiting for his execution date June finds that the Republic isn't what she thought it was all of these years and also learns that they are hiding many things from her which makes her question if the Republic are the ones to trust.
              I connect this book to real life and the world because sometimes people can trick or make you believe you are doing the right thing but in reality you could be doing something completely wrong. This book also reminds me of real life because doing good in real life means you have to be smart or have some sort of talent to make you different to be successful. If you are not smarter have something that makes you different than most people it will be hard to survive in the real world like in this book. Day failed his trial so now his life is really hard because he lives on the streets and struggles to survive while June passed her trial and live in a nice area and has a job in the military. I would reccomend this book to anyone that likes a little bit of mystery and action or just a good book to read. I think anyone could enjoy this book because it has a little bit of everything which makes it very interesting and fun to read.

5000-1 The Leicester City Story By: Rob Tanner

This book is about a 5000-1 chance Leicester City could have won the hardest and most challenging league in the world. The English Premier League. Their best player, Jamie Vardy was a construction worker 4 years ago. Then in 2 years he was playing in the 4th devision which is terrible soccer and he played in front of one thousand fans. After that Leicester City wanted him and Leicester was in the Championship which is the league before the English Premier League. So the top 3 teams who won the Championship would go to the English Premier league. Leicester advanced to the Premier league and that season was the most insane thing anyone has ever seen. They lost 3 out of 38 games and drew 12 times. The chance of them winning the Premier League was 5000-1. People say that their is a higher chance of of you wining the lottery than Leicester wining the Premier League. They Fought so hard every game and trained hard everyday and they finally got what they wanted. the Premier League Champions of 2015/16 season.  

Usain Bolt Being the fastest man alive (Autobiography)

Usain Bolt was born in Sherwood Content, Jamaica and loved sprinting ever since he was 5. This autobiography was about the journey of becoming the fastest man alive. He grew up with very little money and went through many hardships. He talked about how its awesome getting all the attention and getting pictures taken everywhere. After winning many finals and breaking several records, Usain Bolt achieved many goals and the 2016 olympics will be his last ever competitive race. Usain Bolt leaves behind a legacy that no on else can match.      

Neymar The Wizard By: Michael Part

        Everyone knows Neymar Jr. from his hair cut and how stylish he looks. No one really knows the  story about Neymar Jr. and how he became one of the best players in the world. Neymar Jr. grew up on the streets of Brazil with nothing. Neymar Jr. got into a serious accident. His mom, Nadine and  dad Neymar were driving and they skit ted off the road and was dangling of the side of a cliff. Neymar Jr. was only 2! His family was very poor and they could not afford the electrical bill so his dad had to get many jobs just to pay one thing. Ever since Neymar Jr. was a little kid he and his dad would kick the ball around in the house. Neymar Jr. would learn all of his skills by playing "house ball" and from his dad who also loved soccer. He would move his furniture around to create goals and defenders so he could practice playing soccer and getting good at it. One time Neymar Jr. was playing on the street for fun and a famous scout by the name of Betinho saw him playing and wanted him on indoor team. Betinho was known for finding stars when their young and making them into one of the greats. Betinho got him to come play indoor soccer and everyone who was watching had their eyes on Neymar Jr. he was something very special that that not many people had a chance to witness. He would have the ball super close to him and he would never lose it. He would dribble they whole team and score. After playing on Betinho's indoor team, Another scout saw him play and told Betinho I want him. The thing is Neymar Jr. played 3 years up. He was 10 years old playing for the 13 year olds. Everyone would ask how he got so good and Neymar Jr. and his dad would saw from playing in the house. Sometimes when Neymar Jr. would lose the ball his dad would say if you lose the ball one more time I will make you do 200 push ups. Neymar Jr. would say ok and dribbled the whole team and scored. He would win so many championships with Betinho's indoor team and during lunch time with his team he would go to the field and practice by himself. His dream was to be on Santos FC which was the best club in Brazil and Pele who is considered the best ever was on Santos. Then the Santos FC scout came to see him play and he said he wants him on Santos and Neymar Jr. accepted the offer right away and could not wait to play his first game. His first game was an amazing experience for Neymar Jr. He was playing infant of 20,000 people and he was playing in great atmosphere with all the fans cheering and chanting Neymar! Neymar! Neymar! He loved it. As he got older Neymar Jr. was the best player in Brazil. He became famous all around Brazil and even around the world. Their were people calling him the new Pele. When he was 21 he scored one of the best goals ever and he was still on Santos FC. He dribbled four players and did an almost impossible skill that many have never seen before and then shot it bottom corner. It was the goal of the month. This goal is what mostly got him to Barcelona at age 23. Barcelona bought him for 64 million and soon easily became the third best player in the world after Messi and Ronlado. He went on to have an amazing career and became the best at tricks.  He won the spanish league with Barcelona and won the champions league and soon he will win the world cup. His Dream every since he was 5 was to become a professional soccer player and become one of the greatest of all time, he made it come true.

Roller Girl

The book "Roller Girl" by Victoria Jamieson is about a girl named Astrid who wants to play in Roller Derby and has her life set on being in an actual bout with the amazing Rainbow Bite! But for that to happen it is a bumpy road inside and out of roller derby camp. She is a girl going into middles school and learning the true meaning of friendship while she gains and looses friends.

 I can connect this book to many things and one of them is any girl who is going into middle school and learning the line between best friends and mortal enemies! I would recommend this book to a graphic novel reader because it is a graphic novel. I would also recommend this book to any girl who might be a bit of a tom boy and likes roller derby. I can honestly say that this book was amazing and that lots of people should be reading it!

Divergent

DIVERGENT

                             Divergent is a book by Veronica Roth. This book is about a girl named Beatrice Prior who is the main character. The story takes place in Chicago after a huge war. They say their founding fathers created Factions to insure peace. Factions are different groups that people are divided in by what they are fit for. There are 5 Factions. The five Factions are Dauntless which are the brave and who are like the soldiers of the city. They do dangerous things like climbing on buildings and doing crazy stuff. Then there is Erudite which are the smart ones. The ones who highly educated and love education. Then there is Candor and they are the people who always the the truth even when you don't want them to. Then theres is Abnegation who are the people who are selfless and help others like the Factionless. The Factionless don't belong anywhere and live on the streets. The last Faction is Amity. They are the farmers and are always happy. Beatrice Prior's Faction is Abnegation. She never feels that she ever belongs in that Faction. Whenever you turn 16 you get to chose a new faction or stay in the same Faction. If you leave your Faction you leave your family and if you stay you obviously stay with your family. They say Faction Before Blood. Then the roads get windy and all of a sudden things go wrong.  Beatrice takes a test that says what Faction they are meant to be. She turns out to be Divergent. The Divergent are people who fit into every Faction. They say that Divergent's are deadly and they want them all dead and gone. They believe that they will destroy the peace. Beatrice has a big decision to make, will she leave her family or stay? How will she survive? Who will track her down? All those questions are answered when you read Divergent.
