Lilly & Dunkin
Lilly is a transgender girl who was born a boy but always felt like a girl, trapped in a boys body. Lilly only has a few friends but she is very close with them, her father wants her to be a boy but here friends are trying to encourage her to embrace herself. But not everyone in school supports her like her friends do. A group of kids bully her every day.
Dunkin is bipolar and can't handle his dad is gone so he lies to himself and lives in his own reality. After moving to Florida he goes to a new school and quickly becomes close with the basketball team because of his hight. but quickly he relises his friends are bullying lilly and he is faced with a hard choice
This book reminds me of wonder because people who are different can still have friends and people to support them through a much more difficult social life than "normal" people. This book is about the people who try to fit in but should just be themselves
