Keeping Cool in Middle School- Kathleen O'Dell

0142411817.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpgThe book Keeping cool in Middle School is about Agnes, who is getting ready for 7th grade, which is a total bummer for her, Agnes is grateful to have her best friend Prejean by her side, but Agnes decides to "blend in with the crowd" and just observe. When she meets a boy named Aram in Agnes's art class who seems to have a crush on her and has 2 annoying and immature kids at her school Valerie and Derry.
Prejean jumps in and decides to run for class president and asks Agnes to be her campaign manager. Then there was Aram the weird kid in her Art class who might have a crush on her and Agnes feels comfortable around him. For Agnes it got pretty hectic for her because of the 8th grade boys at her school which Prejean thinks they are all cute, as Agnes finds them to be bullies.
I could connect this book to Middle School because it does take sometime to getting used to and/or blending in with the crowd and being invisible, but after a while you loosen up and stand-out of the crowd.
