The Fantastic Family Whipple
by  Mathew Ward

"The Fantastic Family Whipple" is about an extraordinary family that is breaking world records daily and where all born on the same exact month on the same exact day, all except for one. That one who has not broken a single world record, that one who was born the day before his whole family was is Author Whipple and he is the main character of this book! "The Fantastic Family Whipple" is about a family who is competing in there yearly world wide record competition and all is well until a giant waffle almost crushes one of the Whipple family members and a giant birthday cakes candle sets a whole room on fire right before the competition, just a coincidence, a curse or... a person?!?
This book reminds me of the book "Rules" by Cynthia Lord because that book is about the girl never feeling as important as her brother because he had a mental illness called Autism which meant he needed a lot of attention and these 2 books relate to each other because Author barley gets any attention at all from anyone because he is the one Whipple who had not broken a single record. I would recommend this to a student who likes reading about different world record and what it takes to be a record breaker and I would strongly recommend this to someone who likes mystery's with a bit of a twist!
