"IF I STAY" by gayle forman

      "If I Stay" by Gayle Forman is about a girl name Mia and her amazing journey through her life changing decision not only for her but the love ones around her. To Mia and her family it was probably just another snow day in Portland. Driving to her grandparents'  house for an early family dinner tragedy happens.She is given the choice whether to live or to die.  This is proving to be the greatest decision she has ever faced in her life.  Knowing that she will have to leave her siblings and loves ones behind..  Facing a future without her father and mother who will no longer be with them.  Experiencing all her new health condition and trying to figure out whether to stay or to go? Telling herself the reasons and some stories about why she should stay.  Many memories, her boyfriend and not to mention lots of things about her love for playing the cello.  How she started playing, how her love for playing the instrument grew over the years and  how good she has become.  As everything is happening she is watching everyone crying and talking about her.  Some people are talking to her she couldn't help but feel bad.  The question still remains Should I stay or should I go?  Her love for her parents are strong but the love for her boyfriend Adam and her little brother is some what stronger but still I am not sure. There is so many amazing things about this book.  It taught me to appreciate everything I  have rather than what I don't.   A lesson I will always treasure is that with life will come many hard decisions.  When you choose to read this book this summer I know and hope will allow you to like and even possibly love it like I have.
