I read a book called Watch Wolf.

It's about a wolf called faolan, and he and a she-wolf called edme have been chosen to be part of the wolves of the watch.  But but their happiness is short-lived, since a bear cub is suddenly snatched from it's place by a pack of wolves and hidden away. Now the bears have declared war with the wolves, and if it is not stopped, it would mean the end of the wolves in the Beyond.  Entrusted with the task of binging back the cub and stop the war, faolan and edme set out to find the cub, bring him back, and restore peace to the beyond.
