Bone out from Boneville by Jeff Smith

The first book from the series Bone is about three cousins Fone bone Phoney bone and Smiley bone. The three Bone cousins got chased out of their home by the other residents of Boneville because Phoney bone ran for mayor. He had done so many horrible things to the town they obviously couldn't have him as a candidate for mayor.once the got run out of boneville the three bone cousins got split up in the desert only to all end up in different places of the valley. Once they set foot there, weird things start happening to Fone bone. He see's rat creatures and dragons and meets a bug named ted who tells him to go to a person named thorn. Fone perceived thorn to be a guy but Thorn is actually a girl. After he starts to live with her and he finds his cousins stranger things happentoall of them.

 This book reminds me of the amulet series. It is a very similar series but in amulet the characters get transferd to a totally different world and in bone the characters get lost in a valley seeking there way home. I would recommend Bone to somebody who likes action, adventure, and magic themed books.
