The book "We Should Hang Out Sometime" written by Josh Sundquist is a true story. How do you know you ask? I know this because on the cover it states " Embarrassingly, A True Story." The book is about how Josh (an amputee) struggled through his love life. The book is a book with a pattern.
First Josh would state the female's name. Then he tells the prior experience he had with the female. Thereafter, he would continue with the embarrassing hypothesis explanation as to why he thinks the relationship did not work.
Once Josh has tracked down his ex-girlfriends he would state, "We Should Hang Out Sometimes." He then would invite them out for dinner or coffee. Weird right? If he gets them to agree to meet him at a specific location he ask the question "why didn't their relationship work out in the past?"
Josh always had a problem getting into real relationships. Therefore he came up with the clever quote "We Should Hang Out Sometime." His theory behind this was that the girls couldn't possibly say NO! besides, It's just hanging out right! NO strings attached. He theorized.
In my opinion this book relates to real life because ALOT of people are just like Josh. They play games with each other and aren't truthful or forthcoming with their true intent. Most likely, Josh felt like his prior relationships weren't successful because he was an amputees. However, he wasn't comfortable enough with himself or his disability to ask.
I would recommend this book to people that like romantic comedy books. I feel that this book was written from a male perspective due to the focus on male content. I personally really enjoyed reading this book and give it 5 stars.
