Divergent - Sunyyah

Divergent, a best-selling novel by Veronica Roth, is a book about a girl named Beatrice Prior (also referred to as "Tris" throughout the story) lives in a utopia, which a society ruled over by the government, is divided into five factions. In this society, each individual entering into adulthood must take a test that indicated what faction they belong in, and the individual will then decide what faction to commit to for the rest of their life. Tris, however, after taking the test, gets inconclusive results, saying that she meets the requirements for three factions, considering that she is Divergent and she does not fit into one specific faction, and is a danger to society. So on the day of the Choosing Ceremony (which is when the individual decides upon what faction he or she will commit to) Tris chooses Dauntless -- the faction that pursues bravery as the top focus. Although, initiation leads to the point that she will be uncovered as Divergent. After multiple warning and red flags, Tris unearths a raging war which threatens her family and her safety as a Divergent.

This book relates to our society now kind of, because it shows basically how both societies strive for perfection, but people also have disagreements, which causes difficulty and a lot of debate and in some occasions, fights and protests. I would recommend this book to people who love futuristic topics, plus with a hint of fantasy.
