I can cannot really connect with this book or the characters in it, but I can understand it very much because I know this can happen in real life. Well, most of it can happen, not all of it. I would recommend this book to anyone my age or going into high school because high school can be a rough time in you're life. This book gave me some strong feelings and made me think a lot sometimes. But in conclusion, this book can connect with a lot of girls (or boys) of this age and time.

Homeroom Diaries- James Patterson and Lisa Papademetriou
Homeroom Diaries by James Patterson and Lisa Papademetriou is a very good book to read in middle school and for people going into high school. I just finished it and its about a girl who calls herself "Cuckoo Clarke" who was a patient at St. Agustine Community Hospital (so-called 'Crazy Town') in Portland Oregon for a ten-day observation period. Her mother left her one night at her home without saying goodbye or anything, and never came back. So the ten-day observation period was to make sure Clarke was alright after what happened. So 'Cuckoo' gets a foster mom, who Clarke loves so much. But soon Clarke faces so much more as her life goes on in that school year. The authors of the book write it from a girl's (Clarke's) perspective. This book is very humorous but also very tragic.
