Smile
I've decided to reread the book Smile, by Raina Telgemeier, because personally I wanted do another book report to finally complete all four essays that I had "desired" to do. So I dedided to pick a random book off my shelve, which as you know, was Smile. Anyway, in the graphic novel Smile, a true story containing the author of the book, explains about her catastrophe of tripping and falling on her way to her house, resulting her front teeth to screw up. One up in her gum and the other in the puddle of blood dripping from her mouth. She takes on the journey of dentist after dentist to fix her screwed up mouth, and along that journey comes drama from crushes and friends and a new smile.
This book relates to people who care about what people think and how you appear on the outside. The main character, Raina, is faced with problems of her appearance and she learns to deal with it, which might help people who feel ashamed of how they look. I also recommend this book to people who like graphic novels as well as drama because there is plenty of drama that you can feed off of.
