"The Cure For Dreaming" By Cat Winters

This review is about a book that I recently read, and loved, "The Cure For Dreaming." This book is about a girl Olivia Mead. It takes place in the year 1900, a time when women where fighting for the right to vote. Olivia was normal girl, she went to a integrated high school (one with both girls and boys attending). On the night of her birthday, her father (A creepy dentist) allows her to attend a hypnotism show. At the show the hypnotist asks her to come on stage and defies all laws of nature with his amazing feats. Earlier that day, without her father knowing, she attended a rally that was pro- women's voting rights. Her father, not pleased with his daughters 'rebellion' hires the hypnotist to banish all 'rebellious thoughts' out of her head and have her see the world as it really is, a place where men are superior to women. Shockingly, this goes better than Olivia thought it would for the hypnotist makes her see the world, and people as they truly are. If you like it so far, I guess you should read the book.

This book connects to a lot  of issues today, for it is partially about people not realizing that their decisions are trapping themselves/ their loved ones in cages that will be hard escape from. I think that this is a wonderful book and you should read it. It is full of adventure, romance, and drama!
